Stayed in this hotel just for one night since we had an early morning prayers in Tirupati. Having made my entire booking via booking.com, I was first shocked to be told by the front desk staff during check in that my (pretty expensive) room did not include half board as per my booking. After showing my documentations, they apologised and acknowledged that it was a system error and gave me my room. However, just when we settled in I received another call from the front desk team claiming that I had changed my booking dates earlier and this has resulted in change of my package to ‘room only’. Now, this person had an unhelpful tone and was very clearly trying to drive the message that everything was my fault and the onus is on me to contact booking.com to settle the issue. ‘Lucky for me’, after making several international phone calls, I found out that it was the hotel that ‘messed up’ my booking. This led the hotel to ‘reinstate’ my privileges and the front desk manager apologising for the inconvenience. The whole point of writing this review is to highlight the lack of professionalism, tact and empathy from a team that’s supposed to be one of the best in India. Even if it had been my mistake, the whole discussion could have been conducted face to face, and they could have spoken to booking.com before coming back to me to claim that i have misunderstood my hotel package. In my case, its even worse since I was right and it was the hotel which was wrong. Imagine if this was my parents who had been in my shoes. They would have just accepted whatever that the hotel staff were telling them! Hence, I felt the need to complain. Having said the above, the F&B team of Taj Tirupati made us forget all the mess. They were an amazing bunch, being so attentive, warm and efficient. The food was fantastic too, I was simply taken aback by how vegetarian menu could be that delicious. One of the best that I’ve eaten in a five star chain in India.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, the spread was good and we loved it. The staff were very courteous and friendly especially Moumita & Puja, so too the staff who greeted us when we first arrived at the hotel. In fact, even the staff at the Varuna restaurant were very friendly and constantly inquired into what we would like to have there. They all seemed genuinely friendly and warm. The rooms were fairly spacious and very well appointed and extremely clean. My wife and son loved the stay very much here too.

Overall it was a comfortable stay. We loved the gesture by Arpita at the reception wherein she asked us to go for Tirupati Darshan first as we had our slot booked for the same and told us yo pay the next day during the check out. They also arranged for Jain breakfast for my mom. We had an amazing stay and the hospitality and entire staff was very helpful.

Everyone was kind and the hotel was gorgeous and very comfortable. Our suite was very nice and we were treated really well. We celebrated our anniversary and there was a beautiful cake waiting for us upon arrival. All of the details were so good. Breakfast and dinner were delicious.

excellent breakfast buffet, nice bar with happy hour, 2 restaurants, massage, fitness room, spacious and comfortable room. The road was close but very little noise. Internet worked fine too. Only the pool was not ok during my stay, green water...
